Quilt Along, Week one patches finished

Here they are, I've completed my first 7 blocks for the quilt-a-long w/ Amanda Jean of CrazyMomQuilts. My goal is to use up a lot of my vintage scraps that I have laying around. I wish I decided to use my designer fabrics that are more current and more modern, but I need to get rid of a lot of my vintage scraps.....so here they are, not my favorites, but it's just the beginning and maybe once I add my sashing and complete several more patches, it will start to look better. HOPEFULLY.

Wow I am so impressed. I haven't even started but plan to next week. You have done a wonderful job. I am still working on the star quilt but hope to get that top finished this week.

Once you get all the blocks into a quilt, you will like it a lot more. The variety will make the quilt look wonderful and you won't mind the blocks you didn't like in the beginning.

I really like how you used the solid colors - it really sets off the prints.

Looking good so far. I'm sure it will look GREAT once completed, so don't worry about it now. Your vintage wonder is well on its way to being a lovely quilt!

Im using some vintage and but mostly repos. I am doing half the in modern fabric and half the block in old.
I love your blocks but maybe you work in some modern if you wanted, in the solid spots.
It all looks good... to me..
