It's Giveaway Time!

It's been too long since I hosted a giveaway, I decided to make this a 2'fer.  Good things come in 2's :)

I was approached by Leslie of Mamma Tortilla to participate in their first giveaway and create "something cute".  So many things fall in my "cute" list, but the very first thing that came to my mind was to make a little doll perfect for a little girl that included a change of outfits along with a matching baby quilt.  Now the doll being pictured has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, but no worries, I've offered to create a personalized little cutie for the special little girl in your life if you are the winner---granted your little one does not have Dark Brown or Dark Brown eyes, so this is a giveaway for everyone!

Head over to Mamma Tortilla's blog to enter to win a doll and for more information regarding this giveaway.  While you're there, check out their blog, it's so cute and full of great tutorials and ideas for you to make and make that to-do list of yours even bigger :)

2nd giveaway details......

Spring will be here before you know it and that along with Summer are my 2 favorite seasons, why?  I love getting my girls dressed up like little princesses.
To help one lucky reader of my blog get an early start for the warm season, I am offering my patchwork twirl dress handmade by me for your daughter, grand-daughter, neice, sister, cousin whomever you choose to have this dress made for plus a matching hair bow.

 Enter to win this:

Cute huh?

This one's my daughters, she won't part with it, but I will happily re-create one for the winner.  Look at the twirl and just imagine the wonderful photos you will have not to mention one happy little girl.

How do you enter?  Leave me a comment here and tell me why you would want to win this dress.  It's that easy.  Spread the word and follow my blog, as there will be more giveaways and tutorials here!

A winner will be chosen and announced on Monday!  Good Luck!

Yearly Fabric Splurge

I've somewhat started a tradition for myself for the past two years now, kind of as a late Christmas present to myself, I splurge on fabric.  I'm in fabrics anonymous ;)

I have many things planned for this new crop of fabric goodness.  My most favorite is Anna Maria Horners Little Folks fabric line, it has the softest feel in the world and can't wait to create items for my babies out of this yummy fabric.

So here are pics of some of what I picked up...folksy flannels, little folks and dobby dots complete line by Anna Maria Horner as well as full line of Meadowsweet by Sandi Henderson, Sugar Snap by Melissa Averinos, Amy Butler's new Love line in Flannel, Chloe's Imaginations and Caleb's Treehouse collection by Tina Givens and one of my new favorites Dolce's entire collection by Tanya Whelan, and did I mention I also got the whole collection of Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane?  Oh man, I have a true love of vintage fabrics and I can't wait to turn that line into a wonderful quilt.

I picked up yards and yards of Heather Ross's Far, Far Away and Mendocino before it went out of print.

I can't wait to cut into all of this fabric and share my creations!  So that is my little show and tell for now.  I will be de-stashing some fabrics to make room in my craft room soon, so be on the lookout as well for a small fabric giveaway :)
